The conception, organization and promotion of art exhibitions and events related to the management and valorization of cultural heritage is a field in constant development which plays a fundamental role in the relationship between cultural authorities and beneficiaries. In order to create and offer more and more captivating and innovative products, specific skills must be acquired in terms of marketing, communication, and management at the cutting edge, besides in-depth knowledge of art history, museology and museography, as well as knowledge of economic techniques needed in order to get funds and sponsorships.
The goal of this two-year course is to provide instruments necessary for curating, setting up and organizing exhibitions and artistic events, in order to train professional figures capable of designing and planning an exhibition event, as well as coordinating a team of operators for that purpose. To achieve this, the course focuses mainly on the designing aspect, where students have an opportunity to face the reality of the industry and the delicate dynamics of teamwork in order to develop a real exhibition project.
The proposed teaching programs are, finally, aimed at the acquisition of techniques and competences that go beyond the specific training for the chosen role, and will often allow the pursuit of any among comparable professions, such as organizer of temporary cultural events and exhibits, European Project Manager, manager of museums and art galleries, specialist in the field of communication and marketing for the cultural sector.
